Thank you, Toni Morrison. No one could have said it better. When I was teaching in a foreign school outside of the US, I realized the shortage of children’s novels on the Korean-American experience. There were a few good stories but definitely not a wide variety of books for kids to choose from.

I hope to inspire other Korean-Americans to write and record more on their childhood experiences and share them with the generations to come!
