7.6.17 I cherish the childhood memories I have of walking to the public library in Koreatown, Los Angeles with my father to borrow books with my library card. Currently, Please Love Umma is slowly making its way into public libraries. It was such a pleasure to meet the children’s librarian at the Palos Verdes Library a few months ago. Lessa Kanani’opua Pelayo-Lozada, who’s also the president of the Asian/Pacific American Librarians Association, is truly passionate about literature and diversity in literary works.
